Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent payment and security deposit are both due at the lease signing. Confirm the amounts with our team in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will schedule your move-in and provide all initial inspection details at the lease signing.

Utilities

Utility accounts for your rental home need to be placed in your name. Please take care of this as soon as possible after signing the lease to avoid losing access to your utilities.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out at the end of your lease? Please provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate.

Refer to the terms and conditions outlined in your lease.

Property Condition

Before handing in the keys for your rental, you need to address the following:

  • Rental Cleaning: Your property needs to be thoroughly cleaned, with all of your belongings removed from the premises. You also must dispose of trash and go room to room to ensure every part of the home is clean and ready for the next tenant. Vacuum/sweep the floors, wipe down hard surfaces, and  sanitize the kitchen and bathroom(s).
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you typically address landscaping chores like mowing the lawn, remember to take care of these once more right before vacating.
  • Repairs: Make every effort to repair any damage that occurred during your stay in the rental home. This includes replacing broken glass, repainting discolored walls, and patching nail and screw holes.

Security Deposit

Your security deposit will be returned to you as quickly as possible after your departure. Our team will perform a final inspection to check for any damage, and if necessary, we will schedule repairs. All costs associated with such repairs will be deducted from your deposit.

Remember, you cannot use your deposit as your final month's rent. Failure to pay your final rent payment may result in legal action and adverse credit reporting.
